With more than 32 acres, Sky River Park is one of two community parks in Monroe. It includes an athletic field complex with four natural grass baseball fields, three soccer fields, restrooms and a concession building. A .75-mile long pathway rounds out the park with outdoor exercise equipment that attracts walkers throughout the summer. The park also includes 2 large covered shelters that can be reserved for parties, a large children’s play area, outdoor picnic areas and ample parking.

The playground, renovated in 2018, is designed with a river and athletic theme and features a cable climbing net and a unique, ADA accessible playground structure and glide swing. Check out a virtual video of the park design and park features here. Can you spot the bald eagle?

Adjacent and to the west of the park is the Monroe Rotary Field, and at the south end of the park is Wiggly Field dog park.  The north end of the park is home to the Monroe Boys & Girls Club, the Sky Valley Food Bank and the East County Senior Center.  Each of these facilities are owned and leased by the City to each of the non-profit organizations.  The Julia V. Morris Community Garden  stands at the entry to the park at Village Way and provides hundreds of pounds of fresh vegetables grown by volunteers for distribution by the Food Bank.
